Our business is international mail and not e-commerce parcels . We choose to specialize because we know it is important to mail owners that their consignments are our priority.

IMS has been providing customized distribution solutions to the North American market for over twenty years. During that time, we have learned how to not only achieve appropriate service levels for all of our products, but to do it in the most cost-effective manner. So much so that the savings we have been able to deliver to small and large mailers alike, year after year, are legendary.

How do we do this?

Not only is our management of the distribution matrix exemplary, as we constantly review and modify our routings to reflect the quality of our agents’ performance, but so too is the management of our downstream costs which are so important to our customers. We also enjoy a significant advantage over some of our biggest competitors, as, unlike them, we do not have a foreign post as a shareholder or ‘special partner’, controlling the majority of our routings and passing on price increases at a whim. Quite the opposite, IMS are truly independent and work hard to manage a panel of in-destination service providers who know they are only as good as their last job, and cannot afford to overprice delivery services which can be matched by others within our ever-increasing network of trusted service providers.

Of course we also keep a careful eye on the macro picture which means the very way we transport our traffic in these challenging times becomes a key factor in the control of costs as does the foreign exchange rate applied by a whole host of international suppliers. These are complex and fluid elements, but something we have been doing as a company for a very long time.
